Viking Legend Vasa BN RA NAJ JE RATI

Born 8/18/2018

Vasa was the "yellow" dog in our first litter. He's a smaller standard male, currently 17 pounds, with quite a bit of the look and manner of his mother Bossa.

Vasa took Group 4 for puppies 4-6 months at the Puyallup dog show.

On March 23, 2019, Vasa had his first experience with Barn Hunt, and passed his instinct test.

Vasa passed the Introduction to Quarry earthdog test in June 2019 at the Cascade Dachshund Club test.

He earned his first earthdog title at the Cascade Dachshund Club trials in June 2021, with two qualifying performances in a row for his Junior Earthdog (JE) title.

On September 14, 2019, Vasa qualified in second place (behind Vinca) in his first Novice Rally run, but beat Vinca to qualify for his second leg on 1 December, 2019. He earned his Rally Novice (RN) title with a 98 in June 2020 via a virtual submission.

Vasa earned his first two Rally Intermediate legs as virtual submissions (taped at Family Dog Training Center) in December 2020, and his Rally Intermediate (RI) title at the Cascade trial on 18 September 2021 under judge Sue Cox.

Vasa qualified in Beginner Novice twice at the Cascade Dachshund Club trial on 18 September 2021 under judge Sue Cox, and earned his Beginner Novice (BN) title in at the Hurricane Ridge trial in Sequim in June 2022.

Vasa's first appearance in the agility ring was in Novice Jumpers under judge Ronda Bermke at the PSLRC trial at Argus Ranch (November 2021). He didn't qualify but had some good moments. He almost pulled off a Q at Fun Fur Paws in his third trial (January 2021).

Vasa earned his first Q in agility at the Mt Hood Doberman Pinscher Club's trial on February 6, 2022. He won the 8" class in Time to Beat! He also ran a couple times in Novice Jumpers over the weekend without a Q, but he is showing more and more confidence in the ring.

After a summer off (with training and bathroom remodeling), Vasa returned to competition at the Sno-King trial at Argus Ranch, on Nov 13, 2022, and earned his Novice Jumpers (NAJ) title with a 95.
